President Obama is considering recommendations for strategic changes in the war against terror. A report from General Stanley McChrystal (leaked by Bob Woodward) is in the President's hands. Among the recommendations is an increase in troop strength, which some in congress are against.
The President should give Gen. McChrystal what he needs to get the job done. He should also tell the leaders of Pakistan that coalition forces in Afghanistan are going to pursue terrorists who cross their border to attack our forces.
This is a new kind of war. In the "old" days, it was nation against nation for territory and dominance. Today, pro-terrorist nations like North Korea, Iran, Syria and those who support them, hire mercenaries in the form of muslim terrorists. We need to eradicate those mercenaries using whatever means necessary. Those who support terrorists need to understand that, at some point, world democracies will act to solve this problem.
